Caught in the middle of a bandit slaughtering fields, our unlikely adventurers find themselves on the run from a boogie-man known only as the Perlisian Wolf and his army of bloodthirsty bandits and mercenaries.
While traveling together the young Keelan Murdoch and the older Kelben Caraway have their lives turned upside as things of legend and myth begin to come to life. As it turns out their new traveling companions are known as the Alfir, magical creatures from another world, who wield a powerful and mysterious kind of magic. Their reasons for being in the world have been kept from the Humans so far, but whatever brings them into this world is obviously of great importance to them.
After a thrown body, some well placed arrows, a stabbed War Hound, and decimated bandits the group is able to attain some horses from Keelan’s abandoned Ranch, the misfit group is able to escape across the river after being chased by a small pack of what Kelben could only describe as demonic wolves. Taking direction from the changeling Eire, the Alfir are determined to head South East into the capital city of the North, Albright. Keelan and Kelben, with no where else to go have so far led the strangers through their world and delivered them to the city.
Eire led them to the walls of the inner keep and still for unknown reasons to the humans, the Alfir seem determined to get within the walls for some mysterious purpose. Ra’Tulian was able to ascertain some information and a specific target they seek, and Kelben unwillingly divulged his distant relationship with King Belthiar the Exalted of Bannitar god of poetry, art and beauty. While this has made the Alfir more then cautious of the middle aged archer it does assure them lawful entrance into the inner keep that would not require the use of magic.
Even after their daring escape from the Perlisian Wolf, or the White Wolf as some call him, rumors are about the city that the Wolf is on the move again and this time he moves towards the city of Albright itself. Only questions surround this mysterious man, and how he was waiting for the Alfir speaks only of treachery.
The next move for the human’s and Alfir has yet to be determined. Will the human’s continue to guide the unfamiliar Alfir through their world, or will they move on despite their loses? and more importantly what plans do the Alfir have for the humans which they have both become reliable on and created a liability in?
